Happy Thursday guys! Yesterday was a busy day around here just picking up, tending to the garden and some running around we had to do. But the BEST part about yesterday was my Husband cooking an amazing dinner 🙂
So apparently this guy of mine can cook a mean ass beer can chicken on the grill and I never knew…mind blown. Like, dude I’ve known you for 6 years and we’ve been married for 3 1/2 months and I’m just now learning you can make this deliciousness?? Really?? lol, ok moving on.
Here is what he did:
Take a whole chicken and rinse it out really well, don’t forget to remove the bag inside that has the neck and heart and stuffs.
Rub some olive oil all over it, we then put some salt, pepper and some Goya Adobo on it, then do the same for the inside of the chicken.
Take a can of beer, any brand you like, and pour some out or drink some so that there is maybe about half a can of beer left.
Place the can of beer in the chicken and place it on the grill
Cover the lid and cook low and slow about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Our grill has 3 burners so we left the middle burner off and just left on the left and right burners.
We had simple cream corn and chicken pasta sides to go with it.
This was so delicious and the best part…I’m making chicken soup today with the rest of the meat and bones 🙂 Stay tuned for that post coming up later today. Hubby if you read this, thank you again for making this after working all day, love you you’re the best!
How do you guys make your beer can chicken? What’s your favorite leftover chicken dish to make? Comment below, I’d love to hear from you!
Talk to you soon!
